but it does mention PPE:

4. Personal Protective Equipment

Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks and gloves are not needed, beyond those used by staff as part of regular precautions for the hazards normally encountered in their regular course of work. They should only be used when all other controls fail (e.g. only used when other control methods cannot reduce the risk to a low enough level).

My daughter is out of the high school system now, but if she were going back I'd be fine with the plan. It looks well thought out to me and describes the strategy very well. I work in medical device regulations btw and this looks like what I'd expect to see for a good hazard management plan.

The people running this have been using a solid, evidence-based approach and we can see the results in our very low hospitalization rates. We have reason to trust that this approach is taking the best harm reduction strategies to keep kids and parents safe.

Does that mean no one will ever get sick? no, it doesn't. But neither does going to Costo, but keeping our kids educated and in a good mental health state is very important.

Running around freaking out about "experimenting on kids" is just wrong, no one is doing that.

From the inside I wouldn't say it's particularly well thought out.  We're 10 days from liftoff and there's been no actual logistical plan of how it's going to be done given to teachers yet.  All we know is the same thing everyone else knows.  You'd think they'd have given us the nuts and bolts of the plan by now.

I have read and heard lots of experts over the past few months who have said that this COVID will more than likely act like all viruses and just kind of go away on its own like SARs and so forth - perhaps pushed by social distancing a bit.

I posted a video a day ago and the last 15 minutes or so is quite interesting and worth the listen - I am sure you would find it so.    Of course this doesn't mean a flare up isn't possible in the fall  or the virus is now gone.  The point being is that the inherent characteristics of the disease itself contribute as much to its spread as its own demise.    It hasn't gotten much media attention but I have seen multiple specialists discuss this.

Large forest fires are in some ways a good metaphor.  You don't really control them and often containment so to speak is achieved when the fire just burns itself out for numerous reasons.  When there are fires obviously we don't just sit and watch but containment is heavily dependent on the fire itself.

Can you provide the sources of that information?

yup, for sure. I didn't vote for Horgan but credit where its due, he and Henry deserve a lot of credit for getting this right.

I remember you having concerns about Horgan being invisible during this.

I agree, he has taken a measured personal public approach and let his experts address the issue.

Horgan is one of the best things the NDP has produced in a while. Who'd a thunk?

You guys can go ahead and give yourselves a hearty pat on the back for a job well done.

One good thing is because there is literally no other way to get a decent workout I have picked up jogging.  I am up over 20 days straight of jogging, longest I have gone is 9km.  In high-school I couldn't do a lap around the field, it's all about the second wind.

How come I see so many prison inmates looking soo jacked?

Good for you on the 9k. When things get going again, do the Sun Run. I have done it the last 5 years, fun times.

Being 790,000 off isn't enough to tell them that the virus isn't as bad as they predicted?    How friggin much do they need to be off by before we can tell them they were wrong?

You do realize that the 6700 actual infections are "tested" infections and are not representative of what the real infection numbers were don't you?

So they aren't 790,000 off like you say they were.

Ya, my wife's school had a staff meeting today and I think they left with more questions than before it started.

That's natural, a lot of companies, etc things are up in the air. Oddly enough I think my brothers contracting job hasn't been effected so far. Which is good to see. I'm curious what's going to happen with his son's college. As my brother wants his son to take over the company eventually. Maybe a good time for me to pick up a trade. I don't mind if my brother or nephew bosses me around.

This reminds me of coaching a team. Many complain about how you are handling the situation until you win the tournament or the season. Then all forget how you got there as long as you won. Not saying we beat this yet, because I know a lot of you are going to want to argue with me about that, just that so far, we are doing pretty good with our leadership we currently have in place.

Thx, Is there a Moon Run lol?  I find it incredibly hard if I jog during the day but for sure I'll give it a go.

As for jacked inmates that reminds me of Blood In Blood Out and the real? shots of San Quentin.

Oh, Sun Run is soo much fun. I don't know when it will go again as it pushes 40k+ in participants. The other runners do help motivate you to keep going. It really is a ton of fun.

And yeah, you don't need much space to work out. I had to call you out on that. There is literally many things you can do during isolation to get a decent work out. .

Not dealing with kids it's not.  It's 10 days away and we still have zero idea of how it's actually going to work.  You can't just "wing it" with kids
