Weird that the game is at 7pm Pacific time even though it’s in Winnipeg (9pm local time). 

Really looking forward to seeing how we play against tougher opposition now that playing Ottawa got our mojo going again.

It’s most likely because it’s a HNIC game. If it started at 7:00 pm local time (5:00 pm PT), it would overlap with the game in the early slot.

I know there might be outrage if Petey doesn't score but remember that a good center produces 50ish points. Wingers take up most of the scoring in this league so I expect Boeser to have a good night.

Importantly AHL seasons count as "professional" seasons, but KHL doesn't appear to count.

 

Juolevi played in AHL in 2018-19, 2019-20 and will likely play 9 NHL games in 2020-21. This will be more than 2 professional seasons, so he will need to be protected.

 

Z MacEwen is the same but has actually played AHL in 2017-18 as well, so he will need to be protected.

 

Q Hughes only played 5 NHL games in 2018-19. This didn't reach the 9 game threshold, so it does not count as a season. He played NHL in 2019-20 and now in 2020-21, so he will have only two professional seasons. Therefore is exempt and doesn't require protection.

 

Tryamkin has played two professional seasons in 2015-16 and 2016-17. So if he doesn't sign with the Canucks this season, then he is exempt.

The Canucks are 1-14-0 in their last 15 games against the Jets. The last time we won was on Dec. 20, 2016.

At some point they have got to reverse this trend. It may or may not start tomorrow, but we have 9 match ups against them, we can't lose 7 or 8 out of 9 against them. Got to find a way.
