Popular Post -DLC-
To get us rolling. Here's some motivation from the game 10 years ago today: Quote With the injury-riddled Montreal Canadiens maintaining a slipping grip on fourth place — a 5-9-0 record this month, four losses in the last five outings and back-to-back weekend defeats in Calgary — closing an eight-point gap, that is nine with tiebreakers, means a small margin for error despite five games in hand on the Habs. If the playoff tiebreaking bar is set at 62 points, the Canucks require 21 points and need to go 10-4-1 or 9-3-3 to play beyond May 19. Their fate will ultimately depend on how the last line of defence is deployed and delivers. MATCH-UP INFO Tonight marks the eighth of nine meetings between Ottawa and Vancouver this season: Jan. 25 (7-1 W), Jan. 27 (5-1 W), Jan. 28 (4-1 W), Mar. 15 (3-2 OTW), Mar. 17 (3-2 SOW), Apr. 22 (3-0 L), Apr. 24 (4-2 W), Apr. 26 (road), Apr. 28 (road). Popular Post -Vintage Canuck-
It’s kind of fitting the Canucks are playing the Senators, the only two NHL teams Burrows played for, on the date that marks the 10-year anniversary of his dragon-slaying goal. Time sure flies. Here is what the front page looked like the next day of the Vancouver Sun: 1

BCNate
Big day for this team, we could find ourselves 6 points back with 5 games in hand at the end of it. Playing a last place team whi has there 3rd or 4th string goalie is an absolute must win game. This could really start to get interesting by the end of the week.

Jaimito
Not everyone recovers the same way. Demko probably needed bit more time. Not going to get into the playoffs without him. Too many back to backs. Hotlby can hold the fort once, but you risk injuring him too if they keep riding him.
