By far. Juolevi was trusted by Green to PK and he helped keep Flames to 0/5.  His game is clearly more complete than Rathbone. Rathbone has more flash.

True, but I'm still baffled that the league keeps giving us Sutherland since it's clear he's not willing to act like a professional when he works our games.  With single game gambling involved, you would think they would want to cut down on the corruption.

I'd have Juolevi as one of the better D alongside Myers/Hunt.

 

My only other take-aways aside from those Dmen is; Podkolzin still has some learning to do (to be expected, it'll happen, not worried) and Petan isn't an NHL player.

 

 

 

Yeah, OJ been alright. he's got soo much room to improve still. I've noticed hunt when pressured along the boards just not able to get it out or easy give away alot this game.

Garland, Miller, Dickinson, Hoglander and Myers are the only players above bottom pair or 4th line.  No surprise at the result.

 

I'd rather Podz didn't play tonight.  Does him no good to be out there.

He's good, but he's not gonna succeed if Green overplays him. The team is in need of steady defenseman, and Rathbone has some inconsistencies in his game. He should be a nice callup when there's an actual space for him.

 

Juolevi has proven his case, given his extensive PK time.

Yeah with Hughes back in the lineup I don’t think there is a spot for Rathbone.  He needs a full year in the AHL to refine his defensive game.  Meanwhile Juolevi isn’t flashy but he’s a steady defensive presence with a good outlet pass and he can kill penalties.  That’s all you need for a 3rd pairing guy.  It’s a no brainer at this point that Juolevi will start on the 3rd pairing and Rathbone will get sent down to Abby.

In past years I got the sense that green didn’t ice the full roster in the preseason until the last game.

 

 The team, with all the new faces, isn’t good enough to do that again.

 

i hope they start assembling the full roster in more preseason games so they can gel.  There might be only a few spots that are up for competition, other than that they must know who is Gonna play where.

 

 Hopefully we will see  some cuts and more of what the real roster will look like  in the coming games.

Why do i have a feeling she's just like her team looks good on paper but is actually a huge disappointment

See tim peels recent interview. Admits hes sorry he got caught, and calls sutherland one of the best. Corruption at its finest

I know it’s preseason and the Canucks iced an AHL lineup, but the Miller, Garland and Podkozin line was awful.  They couldn’t complete a pass or create any offensive.  Travis split them up half way through the game.  That was the biggest disappointment for me tonight.
