Popular Post tas
if he can't kill penalties, he's not suited to the bottom 6 and he's obviously not a fit for the top 6. would have been nice to keep him in the fold, but life goes on. 1 3

Hindsight perhaps would say that but lots of fans, media, analysts in Vancouver were thinking Corrado at the time could develop potentially into a top 4 option. It sucks now to lose Gadjovich, but in the end he isn't going to be the difference maker if this team succeeds or not. But there will be players of Gadjovich's repertoire on waivers all the time. I think its fair for fans to be upset with this because of the potential Gadjovich might have, and the sentiment fans have over him, but in large its not the end of the world. Who knows may even get a chance to reclaim him, SJ have a ton of young players trying out in the bottom six.

EternalCanuckFan
Disappointed to see Gadjovich get claimed but all the best to him. I suppose this means that SJS genuinely thinks he can make their NHL team. They're pretty bad so it seems plausible, but the Canucks could claim him back if SJS decides he doesn't make the cut. Although there were lots of things to be hopeful about in Gadjovich's case, last year was the really bright shining year in his development after a pretty dismal start. Maybe it's one of those things where the coaches have formed a bias over the years of evaluating Gadjovich's abilities, or maybe they're right and he won't even be able to cut it with SJS. We'll find out soon. I for one think that this might be a mistake, but hopefully not one in the order of giving up on a guy who becomes a top-6 or even solid top-9 NHLer.

Chaisson the guy that’s been gifted no 1 PP time from the hop on a flippin PTO He was a stand in for Boeser yesterday and it’s very safe to assume that “PP1 Chaisson" doesn’t take the place of Hughes, Pettersson, Horvat, Boeser or Miller. He was basically a pylon yesterday. 1

mordekai
Didn’t even give a chance to gadj gave all the chances to journeyman plugs who will be easily replaced when sutter motte and boeser comes back. definitely ASSet management happy he gets a chance elsewhere cause so-called ‘experts’ claimed he had no chance of being picked up. and for those saying we lost a 4th liner. What a short sighted thinking he just lost a guy who has 2nd-3rd line potential for MacEwen Chiasson petan etc who has NO potential 1 1

ken kaniff
This team never ceases to disappoint me. It should be expected tho, Benning’s MO is picking old useless vets over young players. Brutal asset management as usual

Yeah, I'm sure an NHL GM is scouring the fan forums because he has no idea who to pick up

Maniwaki Canuck
First it was "there's no chance he'll be claimed" now it's "just another Corrado". Maybe it's time to admit that Gadj is better than some people think, with Green at the head of that list.

Were they hoping he cleared and he continues to practice wth the team? Really stupid if they thought that... Right now the Canucks probably wanted him around the team and practicing with them to be skating at NHL pace. But ‘on paper’ legally to inch towards the 23 man roster, have him on Abbotsford. (Which is allowed). I think we will claim Gadjovich back in a month or two when San Jose is forced to waive him due to their immense forward prospect depth. They will probably re-call one or two of Nick Merkley, John Leonard, Joachim Blichfield, Noah Gregor, Joel Kellman.
