Losing players to waivers is a sign that we are a young talented group that is on the brink to achieving greater things than our past “ great teams- 94 & 11” so buckle up enjoy this core with the existing coaching staff/management. Cheers to a great year ahead! :towel:

Yep sure

Stfu lol

This wasn't a goal. They lost 4-0.

Zack was -2. He has 1 pt in 15 games and 1 game over 12 mins toi. He makes Chaisson look like messier.

For real though, guy does a toe drag and fails to score and some folks point out that singular clip as some sort of vindication.

He was a depth guy who didn't do much here and now he's a depth guy who doesn't do much in Philly. Props to him for hitting, fighting, and managing to hold on to his NHL job but Philly ain't exactly a team of world beaters this season.

Flyers lose. 2-1.

Maybe if MacEwan could provide even the slightest bit of offense. He'll be on waivers in a week or so.

Mac is playing pretty steady. Last game he got almost 12 minutes of TOI. He isn't hurting his team. Getting enough shifts to acclimatize to the NHL.

I was honestly surprised that MacEwen was waived instead of Petan after the Canucks acquired Lammiko, irrespective of keeping an extra C with the team.  MacEwen's not the reason the Canucks are terrible, but he can skate and he is at least a physical deterrent that we just don't have in the system, especially after Gadjovich was claimed before him.

I personally think MacEwen is showing better with the Flyers because he is being better utilized.  Sure, the claim might have lit a bit of a fire in MacEwen that he might not have had with the Canucks, but the Flyers have always favored having physical teams and MacEwen seems to have fit better with that.  Obviously not really a game changer still, but he's showing that he can indeed be a NHL regular.

What's Lammiko got to do with Mac?

He's done just as much as Mac is the point. Other than Motte none of our bottom 6 is scoring, yet people talk about Mac's points like he's trash. He's still an improvement on most of our bottom 6. Cause he brings toughness that none of them really do. People talk about Motte's hits but he's small and they don't really have that power that a 6'3 200 pound guy would. Chiasson is trash and only has points cause for some reason Green wants to stick him on the PP.

MacEwen is a better fit on the team than Lammiko in a nutshell. Idc that lamikko is a C, he certainly doesn't take faceoffs like one

Lammiko is fortunate that Green is taking so much heat on here. Otherwise he would have been fitted  with a lovely whipping boy costume by now. He sure doesn't contribute much.

Nope we waived a big physical 4th liner that knows his roll stands up for his team mates and energized  his teammates and fans with big hits.

guess how many guys we have on our team that do any of those things….zero

Our identity is  fun to play against because we have nobody that’s hard to play against.

He might be a fringe nhler but doweling chiasson highmore aren’t nhlers.

you think the flyers would take any or all of those three for him , only an idiot would… oh wait.

The way he plays flies under the radar.

He's a good skater and doesn't look like a weakling on the ice and positioning seems decent. .nothing glaring so he continues to fly under the radar without actually contributing.

I think TG outsmarted himself during pre season.  He knew he had a pretty strong roster so he spent all of training camp and pre season fiddling with bottom 6 guys that might add an extra element like PK and made his cuts based on that tiny / marginal difference rather than who competed harder or who played better.

Funny how those choices will probably end up getting him fired because if we had a half decent special teams, our record would be much better.
