Makes sense, Myers can be serviceable for one more season and it's not worth paying to move him

Boeser is more interesting but not surprising, Garland or Beau you're up

I don’t think so.

Myers will sabotage any chance of us making the playoffs.

He needs to go.

Rather have Wollanin or Hirose in his spot.

Had enough of this guy. One down with OEL. One more to go…

Well isnt THIS interesting?

According to Dregs.

Philly struck out trying to move Sanehim to the Jets. Jets rejected an offer that included Philly taking Nate Schmidt+ for Sanheim.

Philly then went to the Canucks and struck out again trying to move Sanheim for a similar package. Dregs couldnt quite put his finger on which winger Philly was willing to take back but a winger with similar contract as Schmidt so it would have been Boeser or Garland. Either way, Boeser/Garland + for Sanheim was rejected by the Canucks as well.

Who knows what the + would have been. Maybe it involved the #11 from the Canucks or #18 from the Jets.

Either way, Sanheim's value isnt looking as strong as Philly might have been hoping for. Sanheim's 8yr 6.25 cap hit starts this season which inlcuded a NTC

I'd do Garland straight up.

He's gone, the main guy we traded him for is also gone, it's time to retire him from CDC.

Besides, we can always throw the occasional meme on here (like you have in your post) if we miss him.  :bigblush:

Garland and next years first for Sanheim is not a bad deal.
Not sure right for us where we are but getting $5M for three years off the wing is almost worth a first. Long contract for Sanheim though not terribly expensive.

I agree. Sanheim fits the needed age pramamater and he's very good. Always liked his game.

You have to worry about a player that was just re-signed to a max contract that a team is willing to let go, especially a D.  He has a full NTC now it looks like though, so no idea how they thought he would waive for

A Garland deal I would do.  They get rid of long term cap liability for shorter term.

Start packing, just in case. Myers with this team till the trade deadline is not only the most likely move, it's also the best move right now. Why pay to dump a guy when you can likely get value for him at the deadline?

I think he would be an excellent add. A top four with Sanheim, Hughes, Hronek, _________. This is good.

Not that's he's bad per se, on a team that needs his skill set.... but he's pretty much a younger, less talented, Myers. Contract and all (with 8 years remaining).

I can see why we passed.
