The Calgary Flames have made forward Tyler Toffoli available for a trade, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The Flames are in the midst of a shakeup, after having missed the Stanley Cup playoffs this past season. The team has already brought in a new GM in Craig Conroy and a new head coach in Ryan Huska. Toffoli, 31, has played the past two seasons with the Flames after he was acquired from the Montreal Canadiens during the 2021-22 season. He has one season remaining on his four-year, $17 million contract. That Huberdeau contract isn't even bad if they are rebuilding. Calgary can sell players from every position and get 1st rounders, 2nd rounders, prospects, etc... There will be bargains That said, we’re likely still trying to sell a winger so this might hurt us there unless Calgary is interested.
