Pitbulls can be the most loving, and lovable dogs as long as they are raised right. 

It's more of a reflection of bad and cruel owners that give them the stigma.

If you loose now on purpose all the players in that loosing team could develop bad attitudes (remember they get paid based on their performance, so its coach and manager reducing paychecks, or a Who cares attitude).  If you dress younger lineups, that's not tanking.  Its giving young guys a shot.  Its okay to loose those games but not with less effort. Same with resting stars, the guys that go in dont play half-full because their not as good as the stars.  Everyone plays for the the blood of the Orca. 

Take away say a top scorer from any team (Basically Petey) and that team will struggle. The worst part is Petey himself was struggling all season (If 21 points in 26 games is considered struggling). Losing Petey was like losing a point a game. On top of it all it means the team is on the attack, and not taking shots against.
