Can we also mention how we did this without our leading scorer from last year? Mr heart and soul JT thriller? 

 

This Era is going to belong to the big bad Canucks. Our fans will finally get the dynasty they deserve :towel:

Totally agreed.  It reminded me of a preseason game with some (Hamonic) looking beyond rusty.   The Canucks should be encouraged about a lot of little things though include Boeser looking like the rookie sensation he was and Holtby looking every bit as good as they are going to need to be competitive.   Schmidt was a tad invisible.   OJ had one blunder that was not totally his fault but he blew a coverage/puck battle BUT two shifts later was in on the rush and played very solid.   He is real deal as many of us thought he would be.   

 

Oh, and if the NHL hasn't yet noticed - Horvat is a beast and is entering elite territory as one of the best second line centers in the entire league.

What a way to start this hectic season! Everything was going our way. We had some defensive mishaps here and there but we made up for it offensively. The 2nd line was dynamite and looked really good. Pearson and Horvat continue to show their chemistry and continuing where they left off from last season. Hoglander looks like a perfect fit with them. He was good on both sides of the puck. But his offensive game really sparkled. His goal showed his willingness to be in the right spots at the right time. Our top line minus Miller was great as well. Boeser looked sharp sniping home a pair of goals. Have a good feeling about him this year. Horvat, Gaudette scored nice goals. Holtby was really sharp and made key saves when we needed it most. Hope we continue this play into tomorrow’s test! GCG!

Probably just a matter of time before OJ becomes a part of the PK
