This isnt the offseason. The whole  team including green is coming off Covid and they are expected to play 19 games in a month..

 

Its not anout a choice. And you should know that. 

 

Theyre going to have to rotate players in and out every game to get guys a rest.

and so should Travis

but Travis has never shown any compunction to rotate players

unless injury or players like Chatter poop the bed and go -4 in a game against Toronto

There are only 4 regular recalls after the TDL.  Emergency recalls are unlimited.  

 

Emergency recalls are only possible if they drop below the 12 F + 6 D players available.  Sautner and Chatfield have just been called up on emergency basis but will have to be sent back down once a roster player can take their spot. 

 

If they are using emergency recall it means they have no additional player available to play at that position.  Roster players can’t come out of the lineup if able to play.  If they have extra players available to play at the position then the recall wouldn’t be on emergency basis. 

 

At the TDL the Canucks had 22 active players.  Pettersson/Beagle on LTIR and Pearson on IR.  If Pearson and all the others can return they could be up to 27 players after exercising 4 regular recalls.

I think the most revealing part of the interview was his snide comment towards the speed of the vaccination roll out in Canada. It’s funny how we had to put this Canadian division into place to protect us from the wildly rampant COVID spread in the US. Good job Canada, way to save the day. 

 

Ironically. If we were making normal trips to the US in the pacific division they’d be vaccinated.
 

I am working in west Texas right now. On Wednesday I walked into the Reeves county civic centre which is in the middle of absolutely nowhere and got a Moderna Vaccine without any citizenship or anything. I’m down here on a work visa. I was in and out within 20 mins.

 

We have quite a few American players on our team and they must absolutely livid over this crap. Canada, BC, NHLPA, and the NHL should all be ashamed of themselves.

And another thing, these guys should be considered essential workers. Cant go to the ski hill, can’t go to the gym, can’t go out to eat, can’t have a funeral, cant have friends over. Can’t go to a movie, cant travel, can’t blow money at the casino. 
 

One of the few things we can do is stay home and watch hockey. They are doing a service to all of us. Vaccinate them god dammit.

You can watch a million different things on tv or listen to on radio.. you want every single person on tv or radio to jump the line? 

 

Or just hockey players because you like to watch hockey...

You do know all Canadian teams turned down the vaccine due to fallout from US teams getting it right?

 

And no, they are not essential service, for most people they have zero impact on their lives.

 

Id rather they shut down the season then have one person die that could have been saved had they gotten the vaccine.

Let’s say +/-100 people per team would need to be vaccinated. That’s not even 1000 shots guys. They are at higher risk due to their proximity to each other. Fallout? Like I said before, I waltzed into the civic centre in the most remote county in Texas and got vaccinated within 10 mins. You don’t even need to be a citizen down here. The only fallout should be towards our failed government. They are vaccinating like 3,000,000 people a day in the US and we are sitting here making a big political song and dance o out 1000 shots to protect all the teams in the Canadian division. It’s not like we are putting black jack dealers ahead of nurses.

Lack of access to vaccines is the biggest difference between Canada and the US. Since it’s not produced here we have to fight for every available dose. 
 

Bo did not make any “snide comment” about the speed of the vaccine rollout here. He made reference to the reality of it and pointedly said that there were groups that required vaccination first.

No. I have family friend neighbours who work much more essential jobs than being atheletes...  id rather them get it first..

The point I’m trying to make here is that we shouldn’t be in this position. Everyone in Canada always has that “we got free healthcare” swagger around Americans, but we are a global joke right now. The Canucks getting wiped out by the virus doesn’t make us look too good. Like I said before, if we weren’t too cool to travel to our normal pacific division teams, the entire team could’ve walked into a vaccination hub and got vaccinated in minutes. This Canadian division hilariously backfired in our faces.

Nobody in the whole wide world thinks like that. The Canucks have sympathy for that misery from everybody. Get well everbody!
