CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Kinda hope he finds his grove and is able to start contributing offensively. 8 games and 1 goal and 1 point is not really good enough as a third line C. I want to like Dickinson, so I hope he finds his grove and hopefully Green just leaves players in their spot so they can develop chemistry.
rizzuto&hatoum
I like Dickenson, but 37% FOW and 1 goal is not good enough.

Yah, FO and PK he's been a disappointment and I don't know what to make of his play 5 v 5. He's sorta like the black hole of offense Sutter was. No one scores on him, but he never scores either, nothing really happens when he's on the ice which I guess is as advertised, but having talented linemates play with him like Garland and Pod seems like a waste. Hell, the goal they scored tonight was with Horvat at center. He'd be a perfect center for that fourth line that got absolutely destroyed and hemmed in tonight. However, who do we put at 3C? If we were able to get one more offensive faceoff specialist for 3C, and a 3rd pairing defensive LD, we'd be a fully complete lineup. Hairy Kneel
Seems he's got a country club mentality out there. Like not giving full effort. He's way way below what was expected to be. I'd bench him to wake him up.
combover
Not signing JD or Sutter we could have kept the third best faceoff guy on % and great pker. Beagle was over paid but he was still a very good bottom six and far better than Sutter or jd. Edited November 11, 2021 by combover

Dickinson has been absolutely worthless, we might have even been better with Jay Beagle. Say what you want but he did his job as best he could, 4th line center, decent in the PK and very good in faceoffs. Dickinson is not a 2 way player, hes a zero way player, he sucks at both ends of the ice. Seriously, 37% FO for a guy brought in here to help the PK which is league worst by a country mile. And to think, hes here for TWO MORE YEARS 1 1

EternalCanuckFan
Dickinson has definitely not been playing well but I do think he can still be a useful player. Optically, Dickinson's play looks worse when compared with how Garland and OEL have played, but right now it just feels like the whole team is struggling immensely. There were always questions about whether Dickinson could in fact be a legitimate defensive C with some of that attributed to his low FO numbers over his career. He also has a track record of playing wing a lot during his time with Dallas. So far it's looking like this experiment is not working. The problem for the Canucks is that their C depth is absolutely terrible. Not having Sutter available just emphasized that lack of C depth. I'm including Pettersson in this as well. I think there should be some question about whether Pettersson is an elite C. I think Petterson has done enough to show that he has elite skills as a forward, but he is not playing C well. He'll either need to mature into a C or continue on as an elite W IMHO. It feels like there might be a similar issue with Dickinson - he may be a more effective winger than C. 1

deus.ex.makina
Bench him please. anyway he s more interested by off ice comments than on ice duty.

I think Dickinson might be playing hurt. His skating stride appears shortened. Might be a groin or knee slowing him down.

Gaudette had crap faceoffs, but not only was he scoring, he was not a good penalty killer. While I don't think Dickenson has shown off his worth, it's clear that Gaudette is not even worth much to Chicago because of his one-dimensional game. How many can we name of Jim's signings and trades over the 8 years has been great? The only one that comes to mind are Miller and Garland, maybe OEL? Love that Benning drafted the following players: - Pettersson - Hughes - Boeser - Demko - Hoglander - Podkolzin Love that he traded for: - Miller - Garland - OEL Didn't care for: - Pretty much every bad player acquisition by Jim.
Nave
Dickinson has definitely been a disappointment. For our penalty kill to get back on track, he needs to wake up.
