Goodbye Eagle. All the best to you.

I really hope he comes back in some capacity as an assistant D coach once we relieve Bumgarden and Shaw takes over full time.

Either Eddie or Bieksa please.

Shaw is essentially taking over and he'll be informing BumGarden on everything. I see Shaw's influence being a good thing on this defense.

I honestly thought Luke was a big help to Quinn in is first year playing.  His physical presence really helped ease Quinn in to the league and build his confidence.

Maybe we found Quinn's new partner?

I'm kidding.

I think as a 31 years old, as the 5OA08, and as a punishing DD Luke Schenn may be Hughes’ partner indeed. They complemented each other perfectly.

Can Schenn endure that much TOI?
Only Schenn knows.

EOL - HAMONIC

HUGHES - SCHENN

JUOLEVI - MYERS

That is some serious depth on defense.

Out of that comes the 5OA16 not one doubt.

I still think JR goes to Abby to be "the" guy there.  Doesn't require waivers and what's the point of having him in the PB?

Depends what happens in the preseason. At least we have options now which is a good thing. Rathbone is not a lock to make the team out of camp. That’s a good thing. But If he blows everyone away then Benning has decisions to make.

The OEL-Myers pairing has the potential to be scary bad if OEL’s game doesn’t recover and well, just having Myers playing up the lineup.

absolutely nothing to back up that narrative
