  • -Vintage Canuck- changed the title to [CDSF] Colorado Avalanche (C1) vs. Nashville Predators (WC2) | Series tied 0-0

Avs have been pretty lousy down the stretch. Had Saros been healthy, I could have seen at least a slight potential for an upset here.

But with Rittich starting, not a chance. Nashville might win one (maybe an early one), but Colorado will get rolling and smoke them by the end.

Nashville too even before the Saros injury.   Colorado was 0.607 in April and Nashville was 0.500.  Nashville was still battling to qualify while Colorado had 1st in the West pretty much locked up.

Bednar expects to get Landeskog back for game 1.  He never went on LTIR or even IR and stayed on the roster as active the whole time - ie he's been considered a healthy scratch during his injury.

Kudo's to Nashville in getting to the show; Josi has been AMAZING!

Duchesne looks better than in 5 years; did he go to successful rehab or something?    (I have no idea what, he is just good again for some unexplained reason).

But not good enough.  Mackinnon is 2knd or 3rd best center in the world, at worst.

Colorado in 6.

Apparently a blunt and honest discussion between Duchene and Hynes over the summer where each side laid out what they expected and they found common ground.  Hynes demanded work ethic and competitiveness.  Duchene wanted more rope and the opportunity to play with offensive players without always getting his ice time pulled back.

Avs sweep.  If Makar stays healthy the only team in the West to stop them is the Flames.  Flames have Marky, who can steal the series.  Only teams in the east to stop them are TBay and the Rangers.  Both with goalies who can steal the series.

Im seeing the Avs winning the Cup and only playing 19 total games, so three losses along the way.

Makar wins the Conn Smythe.
