Miller for all three or one of them??

All 3. Remember pettersson is a negative asset. POJ counters that negative asset.  Smith is not very good but that's still a good gamble we should take. Leaves them with picks and pickering to also get JC from AZ. Would be a wild to see them do that tbh lol

We’re getting an entire defence group for Miller lol

Do we have the cap room to take these cap dumps though? We can fit them in now, but what about the college free agents we want to bring in before the season ends? We need room for them.

Per Capfriendly, Canucks have 45/50 contracts.  And about $8M in LTIR available.

The only possible concern would be Livingstone and only in some very specific circumstances.  Virtually any college free agent is ELC which just swaps out for whenever we denote to make room for them.

We should be sending down all our guys eligible for the AHL playoffs by then to help Abby out.

With Livingstone, his cap hit can be higher than a million IF he wants to burn a year of ELC (pros and cons to that for a player), AND he signs right at the end of the season with just a very few days left.  If he signs with a couple weeks left in the NHL regular season it doesn’t matter as his cap hit won’t be too high.

Exactly how I see it - this move makes sense for Pitt.  Beyond wiggling out of Miller’s deal, we’ll see if it makes sense for us.

I’m not on team, “give him away for nothing.”
