Heading to Scotland this July and looking forward to picking up a couple of bottles. 

 

Was gifted this guy:

Nikka From the Barrel

 

Much better with a drop of water. In between my first and second glass I had some pepper sausage that really added some spice as it went down the hatch.

Decided to order a special coffee for an after dinner drink.  Told the waiter to bring a coffee with scotch, but hold the coffee.  Guy looked at me like I was from another planet!  :shock:

I’m really into old fashions, and have been experimenting with different bitters. Of the regular “aromatic bitters” (most common one is Angostura), my favourite hands-down is Fee Brothers:

Stupid question...

 

If you buy a cask what do you with it?

 

Obviously you drink it but it can't sit half full can it? Will the air wreck it?

Doubt it.  Whisky evaporates in the cask anyway during the aging process.

I just opened a bottle of Glenfiddich XX. I thought it would be a marketing gimmick....wrong. Great stuff.
