My Dad has died. Grateful for the time I had with him. Hold those you love close to your heart.

Another year down, another to go. Man, this getting older thing bites.
-
Hopefully Benning is looking hard at acquiring Brenden Dillon. The defense could stand to be a little harder to play against, and Dillon would fill that role nicely.

This organization is an embarrassment

I am a year older than I was this time last year. How old that is? Never you mind.

Call me crazy, and I’ll hold you to it, but I don’t think that the playoffs are going to happen this season. It’s a wrap.
Too many players have expressed reservations about it.

I think we should remain optimistic for next season,. Perhaps a shorter version of 62-67 games as in years past.
Percentages on a basis with a sliding scale will keep the game alive and give ground to the norms.
But the time is now to plan for different scenarios and then pick the best out of the opportunity that we arrive to.
The PA and NHL should be meeting over this and how revenues and contracts will coordinate with all options of plans.
Pragmatism should prevail.. this is where good leaders shine,. And others flail like a fish out of water.
Hockey is a game of smarts.. let that flow from the ice and into open books to calculate the plays needed to keep this industry alive with everything else.

Sun is shining, but clouds are in the mind.

The next season of the Walking Dead is going to be unreal.

Why the hell isn't Andrey Pedan in the lineup tonight? Does Weber have some incriminating evidence on Desjardins?

I love coffee, but it does not like me at all.

I thought we all belonged to the same club? What happened?

Well, letting go of Dale Weise was a big mistake in hindsight, wasn't it? Another great move by Gillis.

Take care, CDC. Time to take a break. Be well, folks.

Sucks when you plateau with a job and can find nothing interesting in it anymore.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. It's a funny one for sure. I've been with the company for a while and enjoyed what I did initially, but now it just feels too automatic, too much like I'm on autopilot.
The company has a huge amount of perks that make the work/life balance easy, but it's just the day to day monotony of it all that is mindnumbing.
Clearly I need to grab some bud and my guitar and contemplate this while playing the Ghost of Tom Joad.

The only bursaries they offer are for courses related to what the products they offer, and I have no interest in going down that road. I'm realizing that I'm going to need to switch things up in the future, probably a year or two down the road.
Carve a new path. I've ignored it for a while, but it keeps on gnawing at me to get going.

What is the best mattress on the market?

No GDT for the Montreal game tonight? You don't want me making one....

Is the McMillan experiment over yet?

The people who cheered Luongo on tonight are an absolute disgrace to the Canucks fanbase. With fans like those idiots who needs haters. ???? losers.

@BanTSN.
You truly have no clue. Luongo deserved cheers during the tribute. The fans failure to support their team by instead of supporting their former goalie throughout the entire game. How do you think that works on a team psychologically in their own barn? Yes they didn't show up but neither did the fans. Take it like a man? From a whiny poster who constantly bitches about a television station, that's rich.

Should Benning offer Michael del Zotto a PTO?

Maybe we sign him and see if he can turn his career around. Still very young and has lots of untapped potential. But if he doesn't prove himself next season.. then off he goes to the FA next year. Sign him for 1 year. But that means we have to unload one of our dmans to give him space. And he wouldn't be placed on the 3rd pairing... :L

How does one get their title below their name changed?

A year older, but I doubt I’m a year wiser.

happy b-day
since you left yourself wide open
a poll is in order
so who thinks phil
has become wiser (by less then 1 year by his own admission) according to the following scale of choices:
a) his wisdom has improved by 9 months
b) his wisdom has improved by 6 months
c) his wisdom has improved by 3 months
d) hell no, text book case of stunning regression
i'm leaning towards d) phil
and i mean that as a compliment

Shane Doan is a ???? loser and should retire his useless, whiny ass at the end of the season.

Tomorrow is going to be a gong show on here. I can’t wait.
