    Just watching the Rags v Isles.  Who is #8 on the Isles?  He’s absolutely horrifyingly awful.  He literally cannot skate.  That is one bad player.

      Naw, I'd much rather having him over Hughes, but I'm really not a fan of defensemen who struggle in their own end.  Would like to see how Hughes does once Baumgartner is replaced with a real coach though.

    Watching the Wings v Sabres right now.  Hard to tell who is worse between “Slow” Mo Seider, and “Green Jacket” Dahlin.  :lol:

      Laine gets a lot of flack, but dude has offensive talent. You don't score five in a game by accident. Sometimes top tier offensive talents simply play like top tier offensive talents.

    Devils are going to have an ugly year.  Very soft team, with crappy goaltending.  They will struggle to get 70 points.  Heisher and Hughes might be the worst 1, 2 centres on the league.  Just a bad club all around.

      Alf what are you saying man. For RHD, the Devils are one of the deepest teams. Down the middle, they're pretty solid as well. Zacha, Hischier and Hughes? Good stuff. We've got Pettersson, Horvat and Dickinson which is pretty comparable. They're better on D than us, I'd say we have a better second line and we're better in goal. Also on the wings, they don't have a Hoglander or a Garland. You've got to be fair and balanced man.

      Because they lost 6-2 to the Rangers?  It was mostly their AHL team to an NHL roster.

      I think this is the year Jack Hughes breaks out in the league. Dont know if they make the playoffs but definitely in contention if they get some goaltending.

    Watching Jake’s game.  He’s got a goal, and had several other high quality scoring chances.  He sure looks round, and gassed after about 20 seconds.  Lots of coasting in this league.

      He should be playing on a team with Jagr. That guy knows how to train and be a pro. 

      Maybe if he makes it back to the NHL. He can have Rod Brindamour as his coach.

      He would do a world of good for him.

    I’m watching the Nashville v Florida pre season game.  It’s good to see Fla. is restricting seating to, what looks like, about  30%.

    Jake is playing and wearing #96.   He’s big and round.  And clearly out of shape.  Already a minus one.  He was standing up straight, clearly exhausted, and got beat.

    Watching Leafs v Habs.  Leafs media sure hypes their craperolla bustaroo bonsai draft picks.  Robertson and Sandin are horrible, and that’s so friggin’ funny!  Ha ha ha!  Loser Leafs!

    I watched half of the KHL team Jake was supposed to be on game this morning, and there was No Jake.  I checked their website and he’s not listed as a player. 

    Is he playing there?

      @JM_  I think Shinkaruk never was able to adjust his game to the NHL level.  There might have been a concern about that before he was drafted.  Likely a reason why he went later in the first round.

    What kind of a man leaves his fiancé in the middle of nowhere, like this guy seemingly did?  Maybe others here know more about this situation, but it’s hard to believe a guy could leave his girl like this.  Then he refuses to talk to police and help find her.  This makes no sense.

      Really hits home...as a person who lived through an incredibly abusive relationship for years, so much so.

    I think I just heard on the radio (650) that Friedman is reporting unvaccinated players could face suspensions if games are effected.  Is that right?

      I am of the opinion that anyone who refuses to be vaccinated should be fined and jailed, and refused hospital service if one gets Covid and hasn’t been vaccinated (exceptions made if someone was unable to take a Covid vaccine for a legitimate reason).
