There are lots of those guys. But Gads combines size, toughness, mean, and a scoring touch. I think he gets claimed. People fear this every fall and every fall, almost zero players get claimed. Teams have like 4 of their own 'Gadjovich's' to waive, they're not worried about picking up ours and being forced to leave him on their NHL roster. Only way he becomes an actual waiver risk is if he plays so well/improved, that we'd likely be keeping him on the roster anyway and waiving a guy like Highmore instead. At which point, it becomes a moot point as he'd be on the roster.

-Vintage Canuck-
This would allow Halak to have his #41.
DeNiro
Hopefully Gadj switches to his junior 21 if he’s able to earn a full time slot. I understand him wanting to wait until they can remove the stink from that number.

You know other teams are following the exhibition games closely, comparing our "B" list with their own "B" list Edited September 12, 2021 by Fred65

Yea I tried to figure out how the guy who threw the hit was the same guy that scored. Pretty obvious it wasn’t. Only takes a couple watches to figure that one out. Right side (and shot) D man made the play on Bone in the neutral zone coming back after carrying the puck deep.
allegend
I think it was Woo (#52) who backchecked his buddy Rathbone. Woo has looked good in training camp so far.
GoldenAlien
What a performance by Gadjovich tonight, his skating has really come a long way. If Sutter and Motte can't start the season, would love to see a Gadjovich - Highmore - Lockwood 4th line. And Wouters seems like a nice find for Abbotsford to boot, skates well, hits hard, tenacious on the puck. 48MPHSlapShot
Skating was always Gadj's achilles heel, everything else was there. If he's managed to overcome that then the sky is the limit for the kid. Let's not forget he put up 15 goals in 18 games in Utica last year. Pulling for him to land an NHL job.

All the talk of him making the team seemed far-fetched to me - every year there are a dozen guys talking about how they're going to make the team. If he keeps putting pucks in the net (or setting goals up) at every opportunity, maybe he actually forces his way onto this team?!
