CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Its kinda sad, like Brad Marchand, both players are actually extremely gifted players, yet they choose to do stupid things. They just can't help themselves, which may stop them from actually being fully effective players. Kind of like Burrows, once he learned to settle down and focus on actually making a difference on the ice, his game took off. Tkachuk has the same ability to take off, but its this mindless decisions that are going to stop him from moving forward.
WHL rocks
Exactly what I said it would be yesterday. 1 game. It would have been a fine if he was on the ice.

Can't comment on Meier but as far as I'm concerned a spear from the bench comes pretty close to leaving the bench to fight someone and a 10 game suspension. exactly, how can you treat it differently. Not to mention his last suspension was for using a stick on a player that was under the ref's control and being escorted off the ice. These are two pretty major infractions, and in soccer language it would be called 'bringing the game into disrepute'. Don't mind guys dropping the mitts but this type of behavior should be punished more severely. Hopefully people see now one of the major reasons why Van didn't want him. This is not new behavior, in junior he had a reputation for being a jerk. You can bet guys in the flames dressing room don't approve of this either. Nor a lot of fans. He shows a lack of respect for the game and other players. Okay to play tough but this is cheap, dirty, cowardly play.

Brad Marchand
Tkachuk is the definition of a coward. Spears people from the bench so no one can retaliate, taps people from behind after they've been ejected from the game, slewfoots people from behind (this goes back to his junior days), and has just three career NHL fights to show for it. Someone is going to fill him in one day and he'll deserve every bit of it.

What a waste. He's an agitator it's his role, no one liked Avery but he did his role well. If teams are freaking out over love taps, then he's doing his role well, but he's on Calgary so 0 talent anyways.
The Great Canucks
Tkachuk is garbage, just like the rest of the lames and their fans. Juolevi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tkachuck all day, everyday!
combover
It’s good, the league suspending him is good for him long term sending a message he won’t get away with anything so clean it up. it getting old he’s a Second liner on that team and they need him so When he gets a bit of self control he’s gonna be a heck of hockey player. i hate him on the flames but (and I know I alone on this ) would still loved to have him as a Canuck and that’s nothing against what Ollie may be. Then you don't have to worry about putting your team short when you cave his face in for being a big mouthed cheap little puke. That rule is why there are guys like him running around out there. coastal.view
not a tkachuk fan but a bit silly to trivialize his approach and what he is doing he comes from a hockey family he knows his assets as a player - he knows what he is doing he saw what marchand signed for the ultimate current day "rat" is paid more then $6 million per annum for 8 years that is what tkatchuk is aiming for marchand took a few years to blossom offensively and tkachuk is trying to go down that same path

I assume you know and were on the receiving end and can be the judge? There is no such thing as a "soft spear" or a "mild slew foot". The guy is a punk on the ice. Period.
