I think for the most part Marky has been pretty good for most of the year, except the stretch where the top D players on our team were hurt. I think people forget that this is his first year as A starter, not an easy adjustment. Also, its funny how people here bash Marky, but when it comes to Demko they use every excuse if he has a bad game yet Marky gets ripped apart. I think Demko will be better than Marky and giving him A game is fine. I just think people need to give Marky some rope considering the team and the fact it is his first season as A starter. Also, we need Rolly back.

"Marky has been good for most of the year".

He's been a shakey starter as often as not. Some games he's been great, others just awful... thought we expected as much out of him though.

He's been owning it recently. Starting to look like a #1 goalie.

To be honest, I wish Clouts was right and that Demko wasn't brought up. First, it makes no sense this late in the season. Second, he should be with his team preparing for the playoffs. And third, we don't need him to be the vector getting Utica sick with the flu just as they start the playoffs.

For one of a very rare few times, I'm actually in disagreement with management. Like seriously, what the &^@# are you thinking, Benning?

A goalie had to come up, so the worry of flu spreading would remain the same with either Comet coming here.

You do realize it was an emergency call-up right? If he plays it's only because both are unable to go

I think his biggest issue was giving up A weak goal too often, he seems to have shaken that recently. With A better team in front for A full season will do wonders for him I think

????? They have a lack of depth??  There picking players up that are not signed to fill holes in lineup?? You must not follow them very close??  Manager there should get a big A for getting this team into the playoffs.. Goaltender Demko was great,?  Are you looking at the same team?

Bouche, 38 games, Goldobin, both are very good forwards for AHL MacEwen has had a okay season for a rookie... They have a few veteran D men that are over 26 one they traded to Vegas....

Best D man has been hurt for most of season, McEneny,  Young guy Chatfield 20, Briesbois 20,  sautner 24 will be # 3-6 guys one day ..

Young drafted players like  Lind, Dahlen, Gadjovich, Juolevi, will be there next yr..

The have had to sign guys on PTO's to fill spots from injuries and call ups, that is what i mean by depth issues.  Don't forget the loss of Rodin, Holm, McEnemy and then Subban and Pedan where traded for non replacements. Archie  as well and only played 25, Goldy had 28.  Johnson himself has said that it has been a challenge to fill spots.  I would also add that it is a bit of stretch to say that the winning on the ice is because of the management.  That is statistically indefensible.    My point is that the team as a whole  has played well despite bodies regularly coming in and out.

I agree they have played well to make playoffs..There manager Johnson did a amazing job signing guys to allow team to be competitive..

I am saying if they had there own depth it would be different...Demko won at least 7 -9 games with his amazing performances that they should of lost..

With the young talent coming next season Utica will be a better team, Dahlen, Lind, Gadjovich,  young  D men Juolevi, (Bassard, Oshawa this yr) plus a few other guys..
