NHTyrany
A couple of off games is OK to me. My bigger concern is how soft the team is. No big hits, no making it hard for the other team. It's like Nucks want to play shinny and the other team treats all our player like punching bags. Thought we were beyond this but I guess it a hard thing to change. It's like Green is afraid for his little stars but that won't win any cups anytime.

He used to hit everything that moved when he was younger and now I think he's a great faceoff guy and a powerplay specialist. Really? Maybe to the eye, but his impact has been more and more, no? He's definitely become more conservative as he's been molded into a matchup C that plays against players like MacKinnon & McDavid, but he definitely makes a big impact for us whether he's aggressive or not. And I'd add its a noticeable impact whether he's running around being aggressive or not. But tonight I didn't think he impacted the game at all. Yes top 6 has been off obviously for past 2 games including that dreadful pp that a junior team can defend against

Not lazy...just more practical. I'll get used to it quickly. Cheers Deb.

The combined salary of those bottom lines ,, bang for the buck... They will work themselves out in the next couple of seasons but the things that keep on happening is that PP sucks! Do they make changes or even give PP2 a chance? Nope. How about putting Edler and Hamonic ,who isn't even in game shape yet , and they are getting hammered on the PK, but keep throwing them out there? Makes no sense to me. Look at the overall picture and why we are losing games. Our offensively talented players need to produce and they haven't, that's an issue. But keep on complaining about everyone else on the team that makes sense.

End of story Yeah, still a lot of time for that narrative to change. We’re going to get Toffoli’d by the Twitter guys after every loss though. I can also see us burning some 2022 picks to really clean house in the bottom 6 and revamp the middle of our roster. Hope your wrong about our 2022 picks... I was kinda hoping Green would play the rookies (esp OJ) during games like this - when the team is lathergic to give him more experience. What is the worse that could happen since they are losing the game anyways and the one bright side is you get to rest your regulars for the next game - bench the regulars and let the bottom feeders take over the game (Green I hope you are reading this blog instead of pretending to prepare for the next game - just frustrated about this game). Smashian Kassian
The silver lining is we started last season 0-2 in Alberta, and losing in quite frustrating manner. The negative is we have less games to burn & our special teams is the worst its been in the Pettersson era.

Our woeful special teams killed us again, and we were outshot, out hit and out effort-ed. Exactly. This game and the last Edmonton game both the PP and the PK were dreadful. 1

NHL97OneTimer
Hamonic and Holtby have been okay but not great in my eye. Thank goodness Hamonic is on a cheap 1-year right now. I'm not concerned with Holtby, but I am hoping Demko lights it up and grabs the #1 spot.

Though offensively he used to be a dynamic power forward. He doesn't do that much anymore. The year before Petey came people thought for sure he'd be a first line player because he would carry the team on his back. Aside from the series against the Blues, he just doesn't ever drive the net anymore. He used to do that every game if you could remember. That one year he was so snake bitten, he could have had 35 goals easily had his luck been any different. Just played the right way.
