Losing Markstrom will be a blessing in the long run because the blatant holes in our team are finally getting exposed.

Getting outshot practically every game last year should have been a good indicator.

Completely agree with this.

Hopeful that losing Markstrom and this terrible play is the final trigger for the coaching staff to change up their systems.

Brain dead turnover hockey.

Don't know why Myers and Hughes is still a thing.

Top players have been awful defensively, defensive players have been awful everywhere.

The only players that could say they've been good are Horvat, Hoglander, and maybe Motte.

I guarantee you the players aren't executing the plan. This is all on the players, not the coach.  Their systems are no different than they were last season.  The difference is effort and execution.

I agree. And 1 mistake is fine. Back it up though and take a man.

They are honestly playing like a beer league team floating around that tries to make unsuccessful passes.

If feds don't skate back hard, dmen can't step up and be aggressive.  The effort simply isn't there.  Their systems are no different than they were last year, the players just aren't putting in the same effort that they did last season.  Last year they outworked most teams, this year they're not outworking the zamboni driver

The system sucked last year and sucks even harder this year. Last year Marky bailed this team out more often than not.

How do you figure?

The first line is playing like hot garbage, the defense is way better on paper. They've been playing so slow for most of the season they look lost, bad challenge from green, not calling timeouts it's a sign of a bad coach this team looks like a team trying to get a coach fired

Lol. I can't take this seriously.

Ah yes, most games getting outshot, spending more of the game in the D zone than offensive. Yeah, the Canucks really outworked most teams.

Or, take off the blinders and realize they won because of the absurd talent they had in goaltending and goal scoring!!

I love listening to all of the Canuck fans who only show up when they think the team is getting good. This year will send a ton of them back into hibernation. We are going to see a step back this year.  We are going to see a minor reset. Get some cap space back.

Yup hate the haters!

Lol we had a system? Pretty sure our system was not having a system and hope the goalie bail u out like last year... look at the amount of shots and chance we give up in games last year and this year.. really no difference.. except last year we get bailed out..

I don't disagree with that either. However, there is no comparison to the effort level last year to this year.  Green employs an aggressive style which means you work your tail off every single shift.  That's simply not happening
