None of this is new.

 

This team has been this way for a while. Can't sustain offensive zone pressure, can't prevent defensive zone entries, get stuck in their own end for minutes at a time, rinse and repeat. Markstrom just did an amazing job covering it up last season.

Yeah the Oilers made adjustments and not sure about our team cause the 1st compared to the 2nd & 3rd were very different but Demmer still needs to make some timely saves and he was playing small for most of the game.   

 

As for our exit zone strategy - yikes !

McDavid and Drisaitl didn't even have to work that much. Their bottom 6 guys just toyed with us after the 1st.  

 

And plugs like Roussel keeps taking ice time while doing absolutely nothing other than helping the other team. I'm beyond tired of watching Edler getting turnstiled and Myers taking boneheaded penalties. I'm sick to my stomach watching the whole team fizzles and crumbles without putting up a fight.
