It's more than this.. theres a BUNCH of money on the line for many of the players with incentive clauses. The team has to play all it's games.

I’m of the mind that players could sit out in the bubble because they didn’t feel like it, they should definitely be able to sit out a game or two until their practices are good enough to play without getting injured. Put out whatever is left of the comets roster, the leafs zamboni driver, a bag of of pucks and Louie. With any luck  Louie will score just enough to screw our draft position up and increase his trade value back up to nothing

Miller has some backbone. I have no problem with what he said. Management and ownership are more worried about their reputation than the health of their players. Boggles my mind.

Sounds like a plan.

 

Add 1 week on to the end of season.. 

 

Players not able to go can sit. Players able to go plu taxi squad plus AHL players can take their place for a few days..

 

Also on back to back game nights play the taxi squad and let those who got sick get a break. Half 1 night half the next night

If we had a few more JT's in this league maybe it would straighten itself out.  

 

Bottom line is there is no revenue if the players all break down...and the fans will follow.  

 

You have to take care of your assets....#1 rule of thumb.  Not just some of them either.

It would be unfair to give them the option to forfeit. It’s not in their blood. The league needs to step up and either cancel 2 games or make them tentative depending on standings at end of season. It would likely then they wouldn’t have to play them and make more rescheduling as it’s gonna take a miracle to get that close to a playoff spot

Yeah but the teams we face the next few games(Oilers/Leafs/Flames) gonna value those points for playoff positioning or fighting for a spot in the Flames case. 
 

Overall the teams we face are gonna want to play those games.
