Yep, he just let them go by. Now that's real tankin'

Yes, a good night for the Canuck tankers. As we close in on the TDL many tank teams will be trying to move players. My hope is that this year PA can execute some good deals. He has quality pieces to move. Hoping he does not wait until the last day.

On the tanking end I am hoping for a #3 spot but will be happy at #5. Both SJ and ANA have strong enough teams to move above Vancouver. Really worried about MTL. They are experienced tankers and will drop.

You can so easily see last night's game that Columbus was tanking the game!!! 2 Super bad goals that the goalie should have had!!!

Yup: the Canuck are feasting on loser points from clubs, that are PURPOSELY tanking.

With a little less practice the Canucks should get better at tanking. Combine that with multi player trades and we should drop to at least #5. Would love to see a lot of 8 - 7 losses running to the TDL. This all sounds pretty mercenary but it is necessary IMHO.

Why did they waive Lane Pederson? To clear roster space?

It's not for cap reasons.  They are in LTIR so they can't bank cap space.  Unused cap space is lost in LTIR and they are in their bye-week.

He makes the same salary in the AHL/NHL so it's not to save salary either.

Abbotsford plays 5 games during the Canucks' bye-week - they probably wanted to send him down to play.

This is the correct answer.

He would've been a great addition to Abby where he had already lit it up.

Yup, they've lost 6 of 7, despite our playing most teams.......they need some veteran offence

We can dream for the same results!

Calder trophy winner.

Six cups.

5 foot 10 and 165lbs.

Back when small guys were a rarity in the sport.

Sh!t I would be happy with one....cup that is.

With Mikheyev injured, I think Tocchet will put a grinder on Petey's wing with Kuzmenko. Maybe we'll see Garland there but he seems to like his NHL 04 chemistry lines with a grinder, playmaker and scorer. Worked well in a couple of the 3 games he's coached.

Joshua - Petey - Kuzmenko

Dries - Horvat - Boeser

Garland - Miller - Studnicka

Hoglander - Lazar - Aman

We're going to have to bring up a couple of forwards to replace Mikheyev and Pederson anyway.

Perhaps waived and not worried he would be claimed to clear a contract spot? That is assuming Bo and or others get moved for multiple pieces.
