Don’t you people complain.

You’ve been crying for a D for months and you finally pay an appropriate price for a top 4 D and you still complain?

did you think the Canucks would just find one for free? Would you rather they spent 6x6 of sverson in free agency?

Yup. And we haven’t seen the full picture yet. Still more moves could happen

Rhonek is an RFA after next year, and will be getting a significant raise.

For a team that won't be competing next year, or even the year after.. This makes no sense.

We would have had 7 picks in the first 4 rounds, enough darts to restock our abysmal empty prospect pool.

One thing is very clear.  We can be assured the direction of management now is NOT to be doing a rebuild.  We're looking for mid 20 year old players that can play hockey, and play well.  I don't expect much in terms of draft picks anymore, and if we get any, it'll likely be to flip them.

If this pick ends up being a top pick next year this trade is a big loss, NYI are a mess right now and no reason to believe they will recover next year. Not sure how to feel about this one right now

And they're in is the rub. Because the Islanders could be keeping this pic this year and it could be a top 10 pick next year.

Imagine in three seasons getting rid of two top 10 picks during a rebuild

Hmnnnnnnnnnnnn....I hope it's not too serious...

"Detroit Red Wings defenseman Filip Hronek could only log eight minutes of action in Tuesday's clash with Ottawa, leaving the game with an upper-body injury. According to Detroit head coach Derek Lalonde, Hronek had already entered the contest with an upper-body injury, so it looks like he aggravated something. Hronek exited in the middle of the second frame and finished with a minus-one rating. The 25-year-old is among the team leaders with a plus-eight rating and has played a massive part for the Red Wings all season, posting 29 assists and 38 points in 60 games. Hronek has already matched his career high in scoring and his work also includes 122 shots on net, 97 hits and 54 blocks."
