So we are signing a tough guy who had hand surgery in the off season and can’t fight...?

Westcoasting
Loved the hard hit on Letang near the end of the third. Finishing checks hard is one thing that has been missing. Good to see him have a great game.
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
I know hits is a subjective stat for those who collect it, but damn Schaller had 7 hits tonight

Junkyard Dog
Good game by him. Hopefully, he can continue playing with that sort of effort whenever he's called upon.

ChuckNORRIS4Cup
I'll admit I haven't really noticed him in many of the games, which can be a good thing or a bad thing but so far that's a good thing he's not standing out for the wrong reasons, but last night he definitely stood out for the right reasons and good. I'll admit I saw a bit of Burrows in him last night the hustle and second efforts he had was amazing, his hustle to beat out the icing which resulted in a goal is the exact type of player you want on a team. If he continues to play like that he'll imo become a fan favorite good for him.

I know, I like him. a couple guys were ragging JB for signing him because he would take away a roster spot from a young guy.
PhillipBlunt
His tenacity is welcome. He was great in Pittsburgh drawing players to him so that players like Sutter are wide open for a cross crease pass.

That was Gaunce's greatest strength by far. I haven't paid close attention to him yet.
Hairy Kneel
I think Shally could focus a bit more on hitting hard on a strong forecheck. The play making efforts are fine but his role should be hitting first, Biega could tell him. 1
