On the other hand, he's only just turned 27, so he's quite young for a standard UFA and it's reasonable to argue that maybe he's just finally reached his prime. Essentially they will be paying 7 million for a 2nd line center for the next year or so. You'd think Nolan Patrick will be able to step into that role by then, not to mention Morgan Frost.
