I can’t see Sutter being brought back at 2 million to be our 4th line C.   Guys like Boyd and Highmore were brought in for specific reasons and I believe that they’ll be given ample opportunity to own that 4th line C spot.  Boyd in particular is RH.

Hughes and Hamonic didn’t mesh all that well last year and so I’m not sure why you want to see them paired up.  I’m also not sold on an OEL-Myers pairing to be very good defensively but I’d love to be proven wrong.

I do like your suggestion of Garland and Boeser switching places however.  I always felt that Boeser was stylistically a better fit for Horvat, in that, Horvat could win board battles and create space for Boeser to set up shop.

Made slight adjustments in the quote, but I think we're pretty much on the exact same page. Similar to what BigBadCanuck had, but we are apparently both keen on Savard. (Though I really wanted Larsson)

Call me a homer, but I feel that's a team that, if the stars aligned, could do some real playoff damage.

I’m not sure if I trust OEL and Myers being on the same pairing as one another.  That could be asking for defensive trouble.

But yeah - nice to be on the same page!  :-p

ps -.........dare I dream?

For open spots, I’d like to see Benning make a move for Zadorov.   Big mean Russian. Hit like a truck and does it often.

Lots of options for 4th line center and backup goalie.

I like this line but does Dickinson have the hands and creativity to play with 2 skilled guys?

I would hate to watch the play die on his stick

So much disrespect to Matthew Highmore in this thread.

He'll be starting on the 4th line and could even see time on the 3rd line.  I can't wait to see Podkolzin, but the kid has to earn his stripes and learn the system.

Sutter will not be back.  He is washed up and gets skated circles around himself by pretty well any player in the league.   He should graciously go out to pasture in Alberta - now.

He’s still a useful PK’er and faceoff guy, and this will help alleviate a lot of pressure off of Dickinson.
