Toews and Kane should have their contracts terminated immediately.  And Bettman should be fired tomorrow.  Not sure how Cheveldayoff got away with it, he must have something on Bettman.

Pretty sure Beach said Chevy was at least trying to bring it to light and stuff and doesn’t actually accuse him of the negligence but don’t quote me.

As for Toews, Ill deserve judgement for now until we know more about what he knew. do think he should step down as captain if he had some knowledge for sure.

A massive thank you to LaPierre for standing up and saying, what should be said by every hockey player... not just in the NHL.
Any young person should be able to participate in sports without the fear of being subjected to sexual assults or the likes...

However, should such incident occour, he/she should be able to talk to his team mates and captain in particular and expect support to the max... Beech was let down bu all his team mates, but in particular Toews as his captain.
While Toews being very young at the time can be discussed, what can not be discussed is his support to the leaders, who should gave dealt woth it as the time...

Leader my arse...

Absolutely love that max spoke out. I was literally thinking about how the players have seemingly slipped by accountability so far on this horrendous story 5 minutes before I found this .

Thoughts ?

It is really EASY to say he would have done something.

What would the league do to the Vancouver Canucks(as a franchise), if such a sorry, sordid, embarrassing scandal occurred under their watch, like it had for these Chicago dirtbags?

Many have seen, and/or accused the league of longgg playing favourites. Not only does it suppress some teams from honest, on-ice competition; it apparently emboldened favoured franchises to spiral into depths of off-ice depravity & misconduct, that have shaken the game to it's very foundations.

Top-down corruption has a tendency to manifest & emerge with such patterns. What a bloody travesty & mess this league has become.

Exactly!

There is definitely a difference in how discipline is applied to teams based on where they're from.  And it's gross to see some teams get a blind eye turned as the focus is on winning versus being losers.   It all eventually comes out in the wash and it looks MUCH worse for a team that stood by as accessories rather than intervening and addressing serious internal problems.  I thought the cab driver incident was brutal...seems that was just how Chicago operated.  By abusing others.

The Blackhawks were high on their horses back then and seemingly left a trail of really bad conduct in their wake.   I feel like they should have their cup(s) stripped from them as a result.   Hit them where it counts to send a strong message that the behind the scenes stuff counts too.  As owners, coaches, managers, and captains, there is a duty and responsibility that goes beyond the ice and into the locker room.
