We still have an elite goalie, Centre, and D. Depth isn't greatest. But it can be worked on. Vegas has decisions to make in net. Avs are in a cap crunch and injuries are taking a toll. You dont win with 3 players. You win with several elite players. Also, Demko is hardly elite, and Hughes isnt the prototypical #1 dman you need to win in this league. The fanbase here keeps convincing themselves that we have a group of players that are better than they actually are. Look at Vegas's depth up front in 2way players, and insane depth on D with Petro, Theodore, Whitecloud, Hague and McNabb. We arent even close. We need to toss out a few of our 1 dimensional players and build a team of hard to play against 2 way forwards and dmen. Petey and Quinn in their late 20’s with their man strength, 2-3 of our prospects reaching their potential, and Silovs challenging for starter.
