Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
https://canucksarmy.com/news/canucks-defencemen-mynio-brzustewicz-third-round-picks Quote Two picks later, the Canucks took 6’6 Swedish left winger Vilmer Alriksson at 107th overall. Here’s what Faber said about the pick: Alriksson is a 6’6″ winger who skates well. We’ve had a couple of viewings on him but didn’t see enough to really dive in on the prospect. I guess that will change now as he is officially a Canucks prospect. Size is always good but this fourth round could have been a lot more fun if they just kept rolling through defencemen. Quote Alriksson is a powerful and strong winger, who makes it difficult for opponents to find creative opportunities. His impressive size and physical attributes give him an advantage in winning physical battles. HE also possesses good skating ability, allowing him to gain speed over longer distances. When combined with his strength and courage, he becomes a force to be reckoned with in front of the goal. Alriksson is an annoying forward to play against because you will have limited time to be creative with his big body frame. He can cover long distances with rather high speed, too. He has a lot of strength and power in his play and likes to fulfill his situations with checks and by being aggressive on the puck-carrier. Inside the offensive blue line he is effective letting the puck move fast. https://nhlentrydraft.com/reports/24193/ 2 4 1

Smashian Kassian
Intriguing player. At his size he'll be an asset in any role if he develops. Interested to follow from here.

DrJockitch
Lots of time to develop. Always like the combo of size skating and nasty attitude If we had to take a winger than this seems like a big swing. Work on PK please.

Coconuts
Can't teach size, even he turns out as a fourth line forward or NHL tweener that'd be a success Edited June 29, 2023 by Coconuts
Popular Post Nave
I like that he played with Lekkerimaki so we probably did more homework on him than most clubs. 3 3

Popular Post SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
I haven’t paid a second of attention to Alriksson before today, but his scouting reports are intriguing. The positive reports on his skating are exciting, given his enormous size. As are the reports of flashes of higher end abilities. Without knowing his history, and whether or not he’s recently had a growth spurt, it’s hard to know if his inconsistency and underwhelming stats are partially due to him being awkward in his body and needing time to really get comfortable with his size, and also grow into his frame. There seems to be agreement that he’s still very raw, which could mean there’s a lot of potential for development. Nothing wrong with taking on a 6’6” project. Especially one who can skate and who might have yet untapped talent and abilities. 1

elvis15
I don't mind a project with size and potential to really improve some skills at this stage of the draft.
