@Jimmy McGill I have nothing against her personally, and if something works, it works. But it's a similar principle (not the exact same, obviously) to why you wouldn't want to give your kid the same name as the person that bullied you in high school.

I guess its just the number of threads I've seen over the last couple of years from younger posters on CDC, there seems to be a lot of anxiety and discussion around just having a simple night out.

@Green Building they're not as far as they should be lol. I still have a couple weeks before the next one is due, but I should probably be a little more diligent in my homework.

I just feel a bit burnt out (more fatigued than normal) so I just want to avoid it all and end up going on CDC and reddit and checking emails and whatnot so I don't have to dive into it.

I hear that, tomorrow is the start of mid-terms week for me - 9 in 5 days. I've been doing so much work I think I'm going nuts, however, I find when I get out and go for a run or a hike, especially in this kickass weather, I return to the books with a different kind of re-charge that a good meal, sleep, or coffee provides. All 4 though and now we're talking.  

Take the time away to browse Reddit, but also go for a hike and hit the books; you'll thank yourself in 2 weeks.

I am not a native francophone (took French for years in school here in the US) but I've always used "donc". I would see "alors" in textbooks but no one I knew ever used it. Except if they were saying "zut alors" lol.

As someone bilingual, it depends on the sentence. “Donc” is what you would hear from a native speaker 99% of the time; It can mean “and then”. Think dude where’s my car at the Chinese restaurant. “Alors” is used similarly to therefore; the previous remark relates to the next. It would be first in translations because it directly translates.

Didn't even know alors could be used in that way, but I'm not too much of a French speaker.

@thejazz97 yeah that happens, just don't be a jerk about it and you just never know down the line what can happen. Sometimes people need to go through a series of bad relationships to realize what a nice guy you were 

One of the servers I’m friends with at work called me buddy the other day soooooo ya. That happened. I feel like I have options but every time it goes nowhere or they just stop talking to me. 

@Jaku you are one of the lucky few  girls often are the ones taking the guys out of the friend zone, when guys rarely friend zone as it is (unless you're downright not interested in them).

@thejazz97 not saying it's not doable.  I've stayed friends with girls with whom it did not work out, just do know that it takes a lot of strength to know that someone you're interested in does not feel the same way, and it's probably best to let the physical attraction die off a bit before trying to reinvest in a friendship with them.  In these cases I've had to see that they will be friends and nothing more, but once you can see the value in them as a person beyond their beauty then it can work.  That or point out their negatives after things don't work out so you can see them clearly and move on, not living behind rose-colored glasses.  (You want a slow healing process?  Or essentially point out all their crap and make yourself not interested in the same way ever again?  Your choice :P)  

@Brad Marchand As a Bombers fan, even I can agree with that lol. I had Saskatchewan winning both games against us. I feel bad for Harris, because he has to single-handedly carry this offense right now.

@c00kies They have too much talent to be struggling this much. Wonder if making the switch to Streveler would help things a bit.

Our receivers are kind of meh, and our defense has issues. I'm not sure if it's a scheme thing or personnel situation. I also notice that we haven't tried many trick plays this year, so I'm thinking there's a lack of trust by the coaches too.

Memes are the only way we can survive as Canucks fans.
