@D-Money I guess you missed that Jay Beagle is 20th-best center in the league according to the fans
-
@thejazz97 - Perhaps they misheard/misread, and thought the question was, not "best", but "oldest" center...

Can you imagine? Hughes + Broberg?

Riders release Duron. I want off Chris Jones’ wild ride

I must be way too overtired. The nickname of McGoober for McDavid made me cry of laughter for a solid 10 minutes.
I need sleep.

Jacques Cartier, right this way, I'll put your coat up on the bed.

Raps are better if Kawhi doesn't check out, but yikes did they do DeMar dirty.

I can see the the Raps flipping Kawhi in 60 days to the Lakers for Ingraham. Don't think Magic will want to risk seeing Kawhi sign with the Clippers next year... That type of deal frees up cap for the Raps, gets them younger, and soldifies there new core making them perennial playoff contenders for the next 5-8 years after this one.

CMV: Montreal has the most unique design of the O6 jerseys, but they’re also the worst. They work poorly with the adidas format and the white collar is dumb.
1 - Rangers
2 - Red Wings
3 - Blackhawks
4 - Maple Leafs
5 - Bruins
6 - Canadiens

See, I’ve got mixed feelings on the Leafs jerseys. I was tempted to put them at #6, but they’re just so clean and simple.
I like the Habs jerseys pre-Reebok. But ever since the white collar came in, they’re not great anymore.
As far as the Rangers go, they’re classic, although I could be convinced to put them at 2 (3 at worst, before adidas and the Hawks’ preacher collars lol).

Would it be worth it to trade Gagner + Hutton for Lucic and Puljujarvi, and then turn around and waive Lucic?

I think Lucic still has some game left. Honestly another 2 years are in him, and after that, buy him out. He can support the 3rd or 4th line with physicality and leadership. Maybe show Virtanen how to be a presence. This team doesn't need its cap for another 2 years at least, and if we can secure some young talent in the transaction, then its all good by me.

NBA is done. Parity in that league is a joke. I mean, go Pistons, and go Celtics, but there’s no reason to pay attention for now.

The NBA is a joke. Look at Vancouver when it was here. Even if it was allowed to have 1st overall. The guy drafted would have bolted as soon as he could. The Association never supported the North West.
The players treat it like it's some alien world. Players are mercenaries, plain and simple. The players decide who wins the championship not management or coaches.
Yet it makes piles of money, but once you have a franchise that can't compete, players don't want to play for you. I'm surprised Seattle still wants a team back.

Hope Tavares likes the constant media attention, overzealous fans, and constant cycle of mediocrity.
Wait, he signed with the Leafs, right? Because that could describe any of the Canadian teams.
-
@thejazz97 When did we sign Tavares?
-
Roussel and Beagle should be real good additions. Not the cheapest, but they're not getting paid just for skill.

The two contracts individually occupy the same percentage of cap space as Dorsett's contract the first year after he signed it.
If I'm being completely honest, I'm not thrilled about the term or dollar value (moreso for Beagle than Roussel). That being said, the Canucks don't have much leverage when it comes to free agency, so that's the cost of business I guess. Some other team was going to give these two guys big contracts if the Canucks didn't.
-
I would rather Tavares be in our division for 8 years than win the Cup with the Leafs. But I think the Leafs win the JT sweeps.

@Where's Wellwood Someone actually did the math and it's plausible for them to keep all four of those guys and be able to function under the cap.

Just discovered Harry Cameron today, was over 1 PPG in the 1920s AS A DEFENSEMAN. Had the second-highest PPG in the whole decade behind only Aurele Joliat. Dude was better offensively than Denneny or Morenz. Wow.
-
He was a star in the early days of the NHL. I wrote an article on him if you're interested: https://hookedonhockeyhistory.wordpress.com/2016/12/26/harry-cameron/

Professional Sports is no joke, your name can go down in HISTORY.
You can be beloved by so many, this is why Vancouver loves Trevor or Pavel or Danny and Henrik.
I know the Canucks haven't had to much to cheer about over the years.but.
We need a Stanley Cup soon here in Vancouver and it will give b.c. and Canada something to love again.
Just like the gold medal in 2010 at the Olympics, the whole country loved that.

There needs to be a CPAC or a C-SPAN for the NHL draft. I just want to see the names.
