As far as Finals GTing, McLean outperformed Lu, comparing '94 to 2011.

Just checked:

McLean 1994 PO's..15~9(4 SO's), 928%, & 2.29 GAA

Lu 2011 PO's ..15~10, 914%, & 2.56 GAA

Capt Kirk faced more shots too. Don't recall him getting pulled(can't even remember the backup!). Lu had many a meltdown.

we had a hell of a good run that year. lu helped us get there...i applaud him for that..

because that 4 year deal is a life changer. Your family is set up for life no matter what. But maybe he thinks he can get that in the KHL as well. 

@S'all Good Man Lots of pro athletes go broke after they retire, especially if they're supporting their extended family.

I'm sure the KHL could outbid us if it came down to just that.

i don't have a problem with someone venting or criticizing management...my peeve comes from that person saying that management is wrong because they are not building the team properly or the way, they would do it...we are entitled to our opinions but that doesn't make them right....or management wrong...you could take 100 people on here and they would have different opinions..is one opinion better than another?...we are just different...that is all i'm trying to say...

@smithers joe I'm not saying either of us are RIGHT or WRONG either, I'm saying we really won't know either way until some time passes and these kids we've drafted can develop and grow. You're right we are all different - and I don't necessarily agree with...alot of things that have been done since Benning and Linden have taken over; However - I'm also open minded, and hopeful that they end up proving me wrong at every turn, and I'm also aware that they are probably 1,000,000% more knowledgeable than CDC Collectively is about anything team related.

Side note about Boeser!!! My brother's friend has his daughter in the Canucks for kids organization. First hand, Boeser says he's ahead of schedule on recovery...I am trying to see if I can get his picture/post.

Kid might be capable of stealing games, but he's also not at the point where he's ready to contribute at a high level consistently. He's definitely a big step down from Marky at this point in his career. Not his fault, of course. 

I think we are very fortunate to have such a capable backup.  Demko will shine, get well Marky. Go Canucks Go.

Leafs fans couldn't care less about the Canucks. The Canucks are less news in Toronto than the Senators in Vancouver. 

Buffalo, Montreal, Ottawa, Detroit, Boston - there are a lot of nearby rivals. The western conference in general is pretty much unknown due to the time zone change 

That's why Sportsnet and a ton of other Leafs fans that I saw with MY EYES take shots at our team.

My question is why would Stamkos come to Toronto? I get that it is his home town but the Leafs are rebuilding and they still are for about 3-4 more years. Yes, they have Nylander, Marner and soon to be Matthews but they're going to take time to develop in the NHL before they even start doing damage. I thought Stamkos wants to win now?

Well depends on Stamkos. I wouldn't move if it was me. In Tampa, you can still have privacy despite being a star. Good money, good management. Conference finals two years running. Still can train and be in Ontario in the offseason.

@Twilight Sparkle they didn't choke, it was an even game and to be fair they outplayed the warriors again and really could have won all 5 games. Game 2 they have away, this game, the Warriors just kept hitting 3's. They won't win the series that way, it was absurd how many they were hitting. Its the raps series. If they lose in 7 I'll call it a choke, but there was some awful calls / non calls too that would have made the difference for the raps.

@18W-40C-6W Warriors entire 5 year dynasty has been about hitting 3's. They have the two best 3 point shooters in NBA history. If they're going to win this series that's the only way they are going to win...if KD didn't get injured they hitting a lot more 3's

Either the power supply as above or it's overheating. If it works for a while on safe mode then it's possibly a virus. Run a program like combofix or malwarebytes (or both) and see what happens.

Overheating perhaps. Computers in the lab here would randomly shut off for that reason. Just take it to a shop or you'll be looking at it on your own forever

It would be tough to pass on Zadina or Svechnikov given the top line potential there and the D in the 5-10 range are too good to pass up with our lack of top end D prospects. 

It's funny because that's exactly what people said about Matthew when the Canucks drafted OJ instead. So far Matt has had 2 nice seasons with the Flames. There are 2-4 players that I would be more than happy with if the Canucks pick 3-5, Tkachuk being one of them, but the bust potential talk is like deja vu for me!

Shane Malloy, a hockey scout, was just on 1040.  He said Brady Tkatchuk is a cant miss, 235 pound, pain in the a$$ to play against, goal scoring, top six forward.  He thought Tkatchuk would be a very good fit in Vancouver.  

Winnipeg fans have to be some of the smartest hockey fans though. 

"We want Subban!" is one hell of a great chant. You're insulting the goalie in a very smart way. 

I find it weird when people cheer against a team because of the fanbase instead of focusing on things like whether they actually like the team/players that are part of that team. 

Personally, I love watching the Knights have success because I'm happy for those specific players.

I used to read this board occasionally and would then see him write an article that was highly related to threads here...I think he gets alot of ideas from here and is probably one of the more annoying trolls. Botch is annoying but I can tolerate him now since he is an Eagles fan. It's hard being a fan of franchises who continues to dissalont like the Canucks and Eagles. The Eagles have been much more entertaining though the last 5 years.

The team sucks and Edler plays the most. He's not a #1 d-man so it's no surprise.

If you look at his career, he does really well whenever the team is good. Two seasons he paced for 35 points while being very good defensively. Even last season he was on pace for 31 points, but his defensive play seemed to take a hit with all the team's struggles.

I still think he's a #2 d-man, and it would be clear if this team was good or if he was traded to a good team.
