TORONTO - Although it may resemble a Fruit Gushers candy with its squishy, capsule shape, the latest innovation from one of the biggest whisky producers in the world is definitely not for children.
The Glenlivet’s new “Capsule Collection” gives Scotch whisky lovers the opportunity to enjoy their drink without the glass with small edible pods filled with booze.

I thought the threshold from two to four firsts was the AAV over a five year term, and it was 10.4 mil.
I wonder at what cap number (and compensation) the Jets let Laine walk?

with the offer sheet rules you need to have the picks available for the next draft, with the one exception being if you go fully monty at 4 1sts you can do it over 5 years. Right now, CBJ doesn't have the picks to do a smaller offer sheet than 10.4.
So weirdly CBJ can do 4 1sts, but not 2 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd

Are TO biased media saying, there is no way Meyers gets 7 million, as their way to set up an attack of the Canucks when the Myers’ contract comes in? It’s like they are purposely making up low numbers, while fully knowing Myers will get more.

Not really. It's not the best financial decision BUT it's possible to stack a roster. But there is a "vet" rule for the AHL as the AHL views itself as a development league.
According to the AHL website: " Of the 18 skaters (not counting two goaltenders) that teams may dress for a game, at least 13 must be qualified as “development players.” Of those 13, 12 must have played in 260 or fewer professional games (including AHL, NHL and European elite leagues), and one must have played in 320 or fewer professional games. All calculations for development status are based on regular-season totals as of the start of the season. " -

the word "weaponize" gets thrown out here a lot. We have to be careful with that, taking on other teams long term debt and crap is something that we should have done 4 or 5 years ago, but not 4 to 5 years into the future from this point forward.
I'd rather see the cap blown on real high end skill like Panarin, or save our cap space for next year when we can really tool up for a good playoff run.
