BCNeil
It's too bad Climate Pledge isn't ready. It would be fun breaking in their new building for them. Meanwhile the raptors are having fans starting next week.

He heard that 11 or 12 owners don't even want to play this season because they would be playing at a considerable loss. The NHL needs 21 votes from the Board of Governors for a return to play. Friedman was saying that Bettman is doing a good job in talking to them personally and making sure it doesn't boil over into the Board of Governors calls or in the media. They need to find ways to increase revenue. Friedman believes that ads on jerseys could be coming the following year. There's also the new TV deal that could be split between NBC + Fox or ESPN. The preference is to start in home buildings but with every day that goes by and the increase in cases, hubs become more likely. Columbus, Newark, Vegas and Toronto or Edmonton are the hubs that are being considered. He insists that no one wants hubs but says it might be unavoidable if they want to start the season in January. Unfortunately it’s all just about politics and optics. There is no more risk to the public than any other business that’s been allowed to continue to operate. I would argue the risk is way less considering they would have no contact with the public and undergo regular testing. There should be no issue. 1
Mackcanuck
Was thinking about the All Canadian division Good - It would guarantee a Canadian team in the final 4 Not so good - Every road game we play will be in another time zone The travel schedule will be brutal for us! Will probably need 64 points to make the playoffs Edited December 20, 2020 by Mackcanuck
KirkSave
If Dr.BH plays hard ball with the NHL, I'm wondering if the Canucks could play their 'home games' in Red Deer and have that as their hometown for the year it "Bubbles" are not what the players want. Red Deer is b/w Calgary and Edmonton. Granted it's not ideal but if BC won't budge, perhaps this could be a work around rather than potentially moving all 7 CDN clubs south of the border...Plus what kind of trouble could the boys get into on their off days there???
