Fanuck
Lol, I just posted this in the other thread..... Didn't LeBrun report that Gallagher extension talks were at an impass and the next day he signed his extension lol.... This is more likely posturing for negotiating leverage than anything. He's a core piece for their franchise.

EP, Hughes and their agents watching this signing? 6.65 mil QO in two years, that should be a no-brainer. Both EP and Hughes will sign for more than this tho, I'd be surprised if either are under 7.5 AAV.

I thought it has to be the 6.65 of the 2nd year. So even better for CBJ then. Nice team friendly deal.
Cat Man
One of the best young 200ft. centres in the game for 5mil. What a steal!!!! Too bad we weren't buyers in these covid times.

Nice team friendly deal. It is the base salary of the final season, but at most 120% of the AAV. The cap was introduced this summer to avoid the Timo Meier, Boeser type of qualifying offers - their QOs are grandfathered.

Drakrami
Dubois is going to be quite a player. Goodjob to Columbus with their scouting, because the attention was on the big 3 that year Matthews, Laine, Puljujarvi

I'm not so quick to jump the gun on that... Bo brings leadership intangibles, faceoff prowess (one of the best in the league), and his defensive capabilities and shut down role could see him turn into a selke winner one day. PLD has greater offensive upside, but I don't think he will ever be the type of shut down centre that Bo has become. We have EP, so Bo is more valuable to our team IMO. Edit - Forgot to mention if you want a player that is clutch and will put the team on his shoulders in the playoffs and when it matters most... Call on Bo Horvat.
