Hoglander's play style reminds me of Marchand (minus the antics and dirtiness). If he learns to shoot like the rat, he will be a 1st line player. At least for now, we have a legit 2nd line thanks to him. 

 

Schmidt moves the puck real well. That first pairing of Edler and Schmidt was really good.

 

Juolevi was not bad. Didn't see as much offence from him but I'm sure that will come with time. Contrary to some reports on his foot speed, I thought he looked good. He got beat once cleanly but I think that was Draisaitl -- almost every defender in the league has trouble with Draisaitl.

 

Holtby lost the net a bit on that 3rd goal but he always looks so calm. He reminds me of Obi-Wan Kenobi lol.

 

Brock's shots have been upgraded. Quicker release. He looks quicker on his feet too.

 

It was a great team win.

Wasn't a big presence in the game but not bad. If he scores people are more optimistic about him.

 

At this point; I just think he's a middle 6 guy (preferably good 3rd line) that can give you an offensive jolt from time to time.

 

Using his speed & using his strength in the corner consistently should be the bar, in a shift to shift sense, he's just not going to be any kind of driver. 

can't wait for Miller to come back!

When the rust comes off, this team will be awesome! I think they played about a 45 minute game tonight, looks like Holtby is getting his game back.

 

Congratulations to Hogs for his first goal!
