Story of the game: turnovers. Canucks produced so many they should be in the bakery business. Habs ate them up and finished them. And it would help if Holtby stopped some of them. Meanwhile, Canucks failed to put away their chances in the game.

Hughes defensive play is absolutely atrocious all season. Wrong positioning, giving puck away, bad timing. I don't think it's coaching, it's in his head.

Looking at this team play right now, we are in serious trouble. We have lost our depth at defense, depth at forward and in goal. What the heck can you do with this roster? 4 of our bottom 6 forwards are garbage. On defence we have an ageless Edler. Are goaltenders have been average at best. How can you rebuild this roster without 4 or 5 buyouts? Which should have been made in the last two off seasons. Lost- tanev, stetcher, toffoli, leivo,markstrom. Held- baerchi, sutter, rousell, Erickson, benn, fk me

Holtby was never an answer... 

for Marky.

Toffoli is a winner, and produces in VAN, 

should have tried harder to keep him. 

Can’t wait for all of these albatross contracts that Benning forced his team to carry - to be gone. Those contracts cost this team from growing beyond a mere rock bed of youth. Benning can go back to scouting/drafting, but bring in a better deal-maker for contract signings & team management.

IMO, it's hard to blame Holtby here. Hes an easy scapegoat. If we played NHL defence infront of him he wouldn't be getting lit up this much.

 

The last 10 minutes of tonight were absolutely embarrassing. Way to throw your goalie to the wolves guys. What was that 2 or 3 break aways and 3 2on1's? Terrible.

Ok why is that?  People think that blaming the coaches is an over reaction or knee jerk or just wrong or simplistic or reactionary by the fans.

 

But let's focus on your point.  Why doesn't this team play hard for 60 minutes? For me it is poor coaching.
