Petey and Hughes are the teams two best players. You play them no matter what. You wouldn’t bench Mcdavid or Mackinnon if they were playing below expectations. JFC..

Everyone on that team knows EP cares a lot about winning and is competitive. He's having a bad streak, and it's not because of laziness or selfishness.

 

They need him out there if they want to win, simple as that. Everybody knows it.

There is a reason why our D constantly get injured, its because of style of play and playing some sort of zone defense.  You cant get the puck back until a minute and a half in your own zone where you either ice it our flip in in their air to centre ice rush off to get a line change only to get hemmed in for another shift.

Not talking about canning him now. Not giving him or his two stooges new contracts is the right answer.  I’m pretty sure Aquilini have Benning orders to hold off on doing so, which should rightfully worry Jimbo.

Yea, but it starts with the coaches. They need to have them ready and have systems in play to make them succeed. Green and the assistants don’t have that. It’s very clear.

I would if they were currently the two worst players on the team.  No player has directly resulted in more goals against than Quinn Hughes this year.

 

Do we want them to learn they're not accountable?  That standards apply to everyone but them?  They need a serious kick in the ass right now
