As a native North American I could not agree with you more.   The GM/Coach get too much blame/credit in compare to Europe where it is more on the player.

lol I think you misunderstood where he was going with that.

He was a treat.....only sad part, his replacement seems to be an idiot in mental decline.....

By the way, as you played in Timrå, how are the coaches compared to NA coaches?

regarding both personality(treat players and behave) and knowledge?

ITS REALY EARLY I GET THAT but I think it’s safe to say that so far OEL has had a better pre-season than Garland. Not sure many people thought that would happen at this point when he trade was first made

OEL is HOT

Rescued 1D.
Love everything about it.

Can we appreciate for a minute, that in this trade, Benning got rid of major salary dead weight, got a T6D and a 1D in return?

Can we appreciate that little part?

What a wonderful trade.

Wonderful.

So basically the Canucks now have 2 1Ds.

They never were that rich on Defense.

A bit early to say they're both 1Ds at this moment, but this D-corps still doesn't have the depth of 2011 or maybe even 1994 imo:

Ekman-Larson         Edler                  Lumme

Hughes                    Hamhuis            Brown

Myers                       Bieksa               Hedican

Hamonic                  Ehrhoff               Slegr

Poolman                  Salo                   Babych

Schenn                    Ballard               Murzyn

Rathbone                Tanev                 Diduck

Juolevi                    Alberts

Bowey                    Rome

IMHO, this team has every chance to be better than 2011. The keyword is chance. When you think about it, the 2011 didn't have oodles of skill. It was just underrated/overachieved based on what was 'on paper'.

Ballard was not really that good. Alberts/Rome were solid role players. Ehrhoff flourished. Bieksa was tough as nails.

Hughes and Ekman Larsson both have oodles of skill that the Canucks never had.

Did anyone else notice that Loui got another goal and assist today? Looks like we got fleeced! JK lol

4 points in 3 preseason games but then again it's a contract year for Loui

So my prediction of Loui having a 4 pt night in his return to Vancouver is coming true.

2011 D would be hard to beat for any team IMO. That was just sick quality and depth.
