Oh great. Now the people who pencils in Tryamkin to play D for us every offseason for the past 10 years can finally have their wish come true. Congratulations to that group.

I don't think he'll be coming here, we don't hold his rights anymore. On account of they expired. That's how old this man is now. But that won't stop them from wishing it into existence.

Boy, lots of hate for this guy. I’d have zero issue with him coming back. And in fact, with our roster right now, he’d be our fourth best defenseman. An asset that wouldn’t require any trades to acquire - we’d be stupid to not at least make an offer.

Agree we should try to get him.

Kuz came so you never know.

the game has changed a lot while he was gone.  I don't really see him making it in this NHL

He was quick and mobile enough back then. He also played in one of the lowest scoring eras of the NHL’s history. Although he never liked to fight as he once said, he was quite literally throwing and chucking people to the ice in scrums. This forced him to fight and answer the bell, although he wasn’t really a great fighter. He was the definition of crease clearing, and it was something this organization needed desperately at the time. Unfortunately, he wasn’t a natural physical player, but molded into one because of his frame.

Despite this, he was very good at it. Not many guys left like that. That’s where the direct Chara comparison comes from in terms of the physical presence. When he’s on the ice, you will know. Unfortunately, he’s a massive gamble, and a huge flight risk.

Tryamkin was good in his time here despite the coaching staff moulding him into something he’s naturally never been.

This is probably the last team he would sign with.

The boat has sailed on both him coming to the Canucks and likely being a significant player in the NHL.  He may be just a fine 3rd pairing player at this point, but he is at the end of his prime and big guys tend to not age well.

Roughly same age as Bo,.   But not as worn out as Bo.

You’re kidding right?

Big D men don’t age well? ( and everything else)
