DeNiro
So looks like Archibald out and Motte in. Good for him there’s no reason why he shouldn’t have a contract. He’s a very good penalty killer and physical player. Just can’t stay healthy. 2

AlexBurrows14Yu
If he didn’t get greedy we could still have him!!! 2

-AJ-
Seems like a bargain unless he's not the player he was with us anymore.

A major shoulder injury has kept him from being the physical presence he was. He’s still quick and pest-like to play against, but easily gets injured now and doesn’t take the body hard. 1

I remember him not being very durable in Vancouver, either. At this point he's a very minor downgrade from Archibald. The team will be better with him on it. KirkSave
Motte scored one of the best goals in the bubble playoffs. Made AP look like a pylon!! Good memory 1

hammertime
Ballsy move by the Bolts. Whats the over under he injures a player or 2 in training camp and it solves their cap problems.
Alflives
And Motte wanted big dollars out of us. Motte is a fringe NHLer and league minimum player. Easily replaced. Like him though., 1

guntrix
The Lightning signing Motte for that much (instead of overpaying for a bottom-six motor player) is why they’re a dynasty and we’re not.
PhillipBlunt
Motte is probably one of the more overrated players in the NHL, from a Canucks fan perspective. 1
