Irony is, Daigneault ended up playing just under 900 NHL games in his career (winning one Cup as a player). Not a great player but had a failry decent NHL career. Shocked that they didn’t pick Oshie from the Caps. Hakstol was his coach in college. Holtby with 1 mil retained for Vanacek? Still saves us 2.6 mil. Some surprising picks in that list - not sure the Kraken will be quite as good as I was anticipating - they passed on some pretty notable players.... But you have to wonder if/what deals they made- the guys they may be getting as a result of not taking particular players.... I find picks like Geekie to be interesting (with Bean available) - but I respect Ron Francis as a GM. Seems to be a lot of range in the rumours - from no deals made to quite a few of them....
