I think Arizona wouldn't have had to give up picks to move OEL but may have only gotten a 2nd round pick while retaining the same 1 million or so. Also this saves the Canucks from going after Hyman at 5+ million for 7yrs. That would have been bad. Feel very similar to this, if they retained 2m I’d feel a lot better! But still feel very good! Def agree with replacing Edler with a younger Edler, OEL is a better skater though! He’s been pinned down trying to carry a $&!#e team for a long time now can’t wait to see what he can do for the next 4 years should be fun to see, the last two might be where we get burned a little bit, shall see. He eats a ton of minutes, this will allow us balance our minutes much better. At 7, he is OK for 4 years. If we buy him out after that, the cap increase covers that. Garland is exactly what we need.
