Don’t underestimate a new franchise that bungled their expansion draft looking to make a splash.

with 8 1sts over the next 4 years, we can offer sheet them right back, or anyone else for that matter.

What's the flipping hold up?

The longer the term, the more factors that need to taken into account. From cap implications to other players needing re-signing to potential future growth in revenue.

So how Long does the Canucks have the extended signing Rights for the Qualified Offer?

They qualified him last week, they have his rights until his 27th birthday if he for some reason decided to go back and play in Sweden... That said Canucks kind of hold all the power in the negotiation as Petey is not Arb eligible. He should receive an offer in and around what Barzal signed with NYI. 3 @ 7 with the final year being 9M+ in actual cash so his next qualifying offer would be over 9M...

That got changed in 2019-2020 season.

Under the new rules, if that final year’s salary is so large that it is more than 120% of the AAV, the AAV is used instead of the salary to determine the qualifying offer.

So in your scenario, the QO would be $8.4M

You're correct, they did change that rule during the memorandum of understanding while negotiating the new cba just before the playoff bubble

I think there's only like 14 million as of July 29th to sign these guys....

Pettersson

Hughes

Dickinson

Joulevi

Best of luck.....

What an absolute stupid thing to do signing Poolman and Schenn.... Just horrible.

Our d core was fine with,

Hughes/Myers/OEL/ Hamonic/Joulevi/Rathbone...... And Chatfield to call up here n there.... Come on.... Your a national league gm....

Yah no.

Few signing that we've made will be in Abby too.

Try again!
