Luckily it turns out it wasnt life threatening and there was only one person infront of me.Security guard left to get his pizza delivery.

Lady that was brought in with actual issues by an ambulance.

I learned that lesson the hard way driving my dad to the ER as he was close to dying....

I should have called the ambulance to his house.... Ambulance gets you direct care....  Driving someone in puts that person in the waiting line...   

For any kind of serious emergency don't hesitate to call for an ambulance.

Just about cost me my dad, learning that lesson.......

Of course my mom was thinking my dad ... just needed to suck it up at home........    - he had contracted meningitis and was fading fast as it turned out....

Our parents are tough SOB's .... but when they get to old age ... that can be a very dangerous trait for them....

My sister when she had her first baby, you could barely tell she was pregnant. She was playing tennis two weeks before she gave birth. My oldest niece was an easy delivery too. 

Now my youngest niece, nature had her revenge on my sister on that one.

My family in Holland wonders what we're complaining about.  They pay 1.80 EUR, which is about 2.70 Canadian.

My rent phase was fun too.  I lived near the sea wall by Stanley Park for a year, rented with my friends for a while too before buying with my wife (who had bought an apartment before I met her so the equity in that was essentially the down payment for our place).

However, for someone that is in their 40s, 50s, 60s and still stuck in the rent trap I can see how those comments would rub someone the wrong way.  It does trivialize their plight of never owning as "just a phase".

Not worth getting mad over, but Wilkinson, does deserve to hear what other perspectives sound like because not every renting experience is like his.

TV is good for sports.  I just leave it on CNN the rest of the time.  Best entertainment out there.

if you gotta go with cable...the only way to tolerate it, is to get a good size hard drive and record everything instead of watching live tv...so you can skip the commercials. for near live tv, Record the first 15 mins to give yourself a buffer for skipping commercials. Otherwise cable will drive you mad. Mute is also your friend.

Jersey Shore is on and as stupid as ever. Also, it looks like Situation has been eating too much pasta. Dude's 40, why is he hanging out with kids acting like 12 year old. 

Got me to Mayne Island and back in one piece. I'd like to see Ferries built in BC at least though. 

That fast ferries debacle is as retarded as the gun registry, except the ferries one was our provincial debt and the registry was shared by the nation.

The design of the fast ferries was flawed, not the concept. Just like the Space Shuttle in the US. it was a good idea, but they never had enough funding to build the system as it should have been. And they wanted it to do too much. 

I'm meh with the registry. I don't see how long term it makes things "safer" Since most of the crime is committed by folks who steal, or smuggle guns anyways. Rarely do folks who have licences get involve with gun crime. I really didn't see much difference when I bought firearms before and after the registry. Other than now I can get a lever gun. buy a trigger lock and drive it home. I still have to wait for a handgun.

Moultrie makes trail cams that I believe have the best value, they take tons of pictures and don't miss much. However I've found the quality in some of them to be lacking.

Another one I like is the Browning Strikeforce, or most cameras made by Browning. Very clear images, and they are often on sale at Cabela's.
