I can’t believe this period started with a power play where we could have taken the lead and ended up with a shorthanded goal and then 3 unanswered goals.

 

Green has gotta settle the boys down when they come unraveled. He’s gotta be a leader for these young guys instead of continually making the excuse that they’re young.

FOlks really need to breathe and understand that much like he Luongo deal coming back AFTER a new CBA to bite us, this one is just as bad but just as not our fault, Canucks, I mean. Can we blame a 6 million dollar no show like Erikkson? YES

Can we blame the Commish for allowing a perfectly legal contract that the league allowed to be signed, to somehow hurt us way later after a new CBA is signed? YES

 

should we fire the coach or the GM after the first week of the COVID season? NO. 

And whose fault is it that we are at the cap ceiling with a mediocre roster?

We have 2 main D out, and now Chatfield, is the one of our youth who seems to be the most defensively sound.

 

Really weird, we all thought our D was so solid going into the season, but right now, we have allowed more goals against than any other team in the league.

 

I think we need a few days of practice and systems play, but the frustrating part is, we're not going to get that until sometime in late March due to schedule.

 

Not much we can do about it!

The thing that really disturbs me is that Chatfield and Juolevi have been our best defence tonight. Chatfield not playing has been better than either of Schmidt or Myers - they were absolute liabilities. Hughes, never strong defensively, looks like he's playing hurt - now it even looks like the forwards are mailing it in.

Rough start for Rafferty. I guess Rathbone will be up next... don't know how excited Rathbone will  be by that.

Good thing we're spending all this cash on worthwhile players.

No wonder why Aquilini said no to signing big tickets in the off season. He can’t keep bleeding money if his other business ventures are hurting too.
